This is a Queen Anne's Lace wildflowers, also called Wild Carrots, Daucus carota. The carrots we eat today are a cultiver of this plant, and the roots of this plant are edible when they are young. These beauties are growing in an open field in Limestone County Alabama USA.

My name is Kathy Clark and I live in Hartselle, Alabama with my husband Tom, and my daughters, Michelle & Jessica, and granddaughter Tasha & great-granddaughter Ava living fairly close by. However I spent most of my life in Alaska where I learned to appreciate the world around me. I love God's creation and find photography a great way to capture some of that beauty. Digital photography made it even easier to do so. I use a Canon 7D and a Canon Rebel XTi, and Canon lenses, 18mm to 55mm, 75mm to 300mm, and my favorite a 100mm macro lens.
