This is a Common Buckeye Butterfly, Junonia coenia, sipping nectar from Camphorweed wildflowers, Pluchea camphorata, in Morgan County Alabama USA.

My name is Kathy Clark and I live in Hartselle, Alabama with my husband Tom, and my daughters, Michelle & Jessica, and granddaughter Tasha & great-granddaughter Ava living fairly close by.
