This is an immature poke sallet, or sallat blossoms, they are also called, poke wees,pokeberry, and poke root, Phytolacca acinosa. They are native plants here in Alabama USA and when they are very young they eaten as greens here and considered soul food.

My name is Kathy Clark and I live in Hartselle, Alabama with my husband Tom, and my daughters, Michelle & Jessica, and granddaughter Tasha & great-granddaughter Ava living fairly close by. However I spent most of my life in Alaska where I learned to appreciate the world around me. I love God's creation and find photography a great way to capture some of that beauty. Digital photography made it even easier to do so. I use a Canon 7D and a Canon Rebel XTi, and Canon lenses, 18mm to 55mm, 75mm to 300mm, and my favorite a 100mm macro lens. I enjoying photographing flowers, especially wildflowers, insects, and birds, the most. I use occasionally some textures and brushes from French Kiss Textures, and Brusheezy, Michael Sebastian textures,...
