This is a wisteria vine in shades of lavender and purple. This climbining vine, Hygrophila difformis, of the pea family is a native plant to Alabama USA, however this flowering vine is invasive and can kill the trees and plants that it grows on. This photograph has a watercolor effect added to the original image.
My name is Kathy Clark and I live in Hartselle, Alabama with my husband Tom, and my daughters, Michelle & Jessica, and granddaughter Tasha & great-granddaughter Ava living fairly close by. However I spent most of my life in Alaska where I learned to appreciate the world around me. I love God's creation and find photography a great way to capture some of that beauty.
