These Bull Thistle wildflowers are virtual butterfly magnets. There are three different kinds feasting on nectar, Pipevine Swallowtail, Fritillary, and Cloudless Sulfur. These plants are considered invasive weeds here in the southern USA, but the butterflies love them.

My name is Kathy Clark and I live in Hartselle, Alabama with my husband Tom, and my daughters, Michelle & Jessica, and granddaughter Tasha & great-granddaughter Ava living fairly close by. However I spent most of my life in Alaska where I learned to appreciate the world around me. I love God's creation and find photography a great way to capture some of that beauty. Digital photography made it even easier to do so. I use a Canon 7D and a Canon Rebel XTi, and Canon lenses, 18mm to 55mm, 75mm to 300mm, and my favorite a 100mm macro lens.
