This is a beautiful black widow spider that was in my yard in Morgan County Alabama. She is hanging on a silk strand and you can see the red hour glass on her tummy, or abdomen, and her fangs.

My name is Kathy Clark and I live in Hartselle, Alabama with my husband Tom, and my daughters, Michelle & Jessica, and granddaughter Tasha & great-granddaughter Ava living fairly close by.
