My name is Kathy Clark and I live in Hartselle, Alabama with my husband Tom, and my daughters, Michelle & Jessica, and granddaughter Tasha & great-granddaughter Ava living fairly close by. However I spent most of my life in Alaska where I learned to appreciate the world around me. I love God's creation and find photography a great way to capture some of that beauty. Digital photography made it even easier to do so. I use a Canon 7D and a Canon Rebel XTi, and Canon lenses, 18mm to 55mm, 75mm to 300mm, and my favorite a 100mm macro lens. I enjoying photographing flowers, especially wildflowers, insects, and birds, the most. Referring to your comment of my image, yes, you do have a shot of a male House Finch! And a very lovely one. I like his pose, the beautiful shape of the black metal, and the wonderful defocused background color! These birds always look to me like someone turned them upside down and dipped them half-way in some red Easter-egg coloring, lol!

Too funny Betty, but you are right. When our feeder is loaded down with cardinals, indigo buntings and these guys my husband says they look like brightly colored easter eggs, so you two think alike. Thank you for your nice comments.
