This is a reverse appliqued quilt mola textile panel made by the Kuna women of Panama. These are panels that are used for the front and back of their blouses. These have very fine tiny hand quilting stitches, and they are made by master quilters.
My name is Kathy Clark and I live in Hartselle, Alabama with my husband Tom, and my daughters, Michelle & Jessica, and granddaughter Tasha & great-granddaughter Ava living fairly close by. However I spent most of my life in Alaska where I learned to appreciate the world around me. I love God's creation and find photography a great way to capture some of that beauty. Digital photography made it even easier to do so. I use a Canon 7D and a Canon Rebel XTi, and Canon lenses, 18mm to 55mm, 75mm to 300mm, and my favorite a 100mm macro lens. I enjoying photographing flowers, especially wildflowers, insects, and birds, the most. These are very nice photos, I have a textile showing almost identical detail to this..my Aunt brought it back from her travels to South America many years ago..I always treasured it so much. Very nice pictures here.
